What led you to Wire Belt?
The main thing that drew me into my role at Wire Belt was how comfortable I was made to feel during the interview process. At each stage of the interview process, a relaxed environment was created, and it allowed me to get a good feel for the company. I had other job offers on the table at the time, but Wire Belt was the company who made me feel the most welcome and wanted.
Could you give a brief overview of your career journey so far?
I have had quite a varied career path so far! I started out working in a sports store, before eventually moving onto working in Harrods! In between these roles and joining Wire Belt as an Order & Quotation Administrator, I have also worked in sales, banking, and subsidence!
When you joined Wire Belt, how were you welcomed into the company?
I received an extremely warm welcome upon staring my position at Wire Belt. I was given welcome gifts on my first day and everybody was extremely friendly, which was the impression I was given during the interview process.
How have Wire Belt helped develop you in your role throughout your time here?
Wire Belt have allowed me to learn my role in a variety of different ways. I receive regular training on how to improve. On top of this, I get to shadow colleagues who have been here for many years, as the knowledge they have is so important. This allows me to learn on the job, picking up skills along the way!

Is there any particular memories at Wire Belt that stick out to you?
Although I have only been at Wire Belt for a short period of time, there have been lots of good memories made already. I’d say my favourite memory was our 60th Anniversary Party. It was cool to see people in a social environment. I even didn’t recognise some people as they looked so different!
What would you say the best thing about Wire Belt is?
The best thing about Wire Belt is how supportive they are of me. I have received support for a variety of different reasons since joining, and I am extremely grateful for this.
Would you say Wire Belt has a good work-life balance?
I would say so, yes. In my previous role, there had been a real pressure and expectancy to work beyond my contracted hours, which was not ideal. At Wire Belt, I finish when I am meant to and also get an early finish once a week. It makes a real difference!
Do you feel the company lives by their mission vision and values?
I would say so. They have always been supportive, especially during the cost-of-living crisis.
