What attracted you to apply for a role at Wire Belt?
I’ve had previous experience designing hygienic food systems in Latvia, so I felt I would be a good fit for the company.
What are your memories of starting at Wire Belt?
Sadly, I lost my role at my previous company in Latvia due to the COVID-19 outbreak. So I could improve my skills and broaden my horizons after this, I looked to find a Design Engineers role in the UK, as I have relatives living here. Wire Belt were open and understanding about my experience in Latvia and my language barrier. I felt included and part of the team from the moment I joined.

Is there any particular memories at Wire Belt that stick out to you?
Although I had only been at Wire Belt for a couple of months, it was really nice to be invited to Wire Belt’s 60th anniversary celebration dinner. After being under COVID restrictions back in Latvia for two years, it was a fun evening for me and my partner to enjoy.
What would you say the best thing about Wire Belt is?
Wire Belt are a very open-minded company and focused on achieving good results. The people I work with are also really kind and considerate.
What changes have you seen since working at Wire Belt?
I have seen our Technical Design Office renovated, making it a lovely environment to work in, with the best equipment.
Would you say Wire Belt has a good work-life balance?
Wire Belt have the best work-life balance out of any company that I have worked for.
Have Wire Belt thought about your career progression?
Yes, they have. Wire Belt allowed me to attend the PPMA Exhibition, allowing to expand my knowledge on things like food processing, packaging, robotics, and so much more!
