Job Title: Marketing Apprentice

Reporting To: Senior Marketing Coordinator (SMC)

Overall Objective
- To support the Senior Marketing Coordinator (SMC) in maintaining and developing Wire Belt’s business through the active promotion of all marketing functions.
- Assist the SMC in executing the marketing plan to meet company objectives by providing administrative support and learning all areas of marketing such as market research, digital marketing, campaign development, product promotion, analytics, managing websites, and social media profiles.
- Make suggestions for improvements to expand awareness of the company brand, products, and services to successfully meet Wire Belt Group and company goals and objectives.
- Provide administrative support to the SMC in marketing areas such as advertising, research, sales, and customer service.
- Deliver outstanding internal and external customer service in line with Wire Belt’s Mission, Vision and Values.
- Work with the SMC to develop a career path within Marketing – via Learning & Development and Apprenticeship.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the SMC with the organization, and planning of exhibitions, events, customer training, presentations, customer surveys, newsletters etc.
- Learn and understand the company product range for use in marketing campaigns.
- Provide analytical data / KPI updates to report on the performance of the website, social media accounts, email campaigns and other marketing activity. Also, suggest improvements to increase audience engagement.
- Assist in the creation of graphics for use on websites, social media, email campaigns and internal marketing whilst maintaining corporate branding consistency.
- Assist with performing content updates to website, and social media channels, including copy writing, refreshing images, updating internal marketing channels.
- Provide administrative support in the maintenance of administrative systems that marketing has an active involvement, Including ERM database, Call Off Stock, New Customer Tracking, Complaints and Process Improvements Reports, ERM database forms.
- Manage stock of product samples, literature, exhibition resources and other marketing resources.
- Prepare documentation and marketing material to distribute to customers, distributors, and external sales staff.
- Assist in producing reports from information received relating to customer perception, complaint and PIR data, customer survey results, customer feedback results and website analytics. Present in report format to aid monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Assist with ensuring all marketing activity is carried out to current legislation, regulations, corporate branding and codes of practice including UK GDPR.
- Continually exploring new marketing ideas and tools to promote the company, its products, and services.
- Develop relationships with the Wire Belt team to build team spirit and support the SMC to deliver internal marketing initiatives and promote organisational culture.
- Evaluate own workload and activity, agree priorities with the SMC.
- Flexibility – you should expect to work the hours required to achieve business goals, which may include working away to attend exhibitions and meetings, necessitating overnight stays and weekend working.

The following would be beneficial but not essential

- Experience of creating graphics
- Ability to work with video editing software
- Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Education/Qualifications/Experience
- Maths & English GCSE or equivalent grade B/6
- Keen interest in marketing
- Some office experience preferred but not essential
- Languages would be an advantage
