Overall Objective

  • Support the business by offering technical advice and solutions for the customer, internal and external sales whilst also assessing avenues to grow the business moving forward.
  • Work on quotes and technical solutions for Wire Belt’s various Distributors and Industry partners, and also support the Sales & Marketing team and Customer Support Team internally.
  • Take part in various projects, aimed at improving processes internally / increasing the Capital Equipment arm of the business.
  • Support external sales through visits, customer meetings and attending exhibitions, with the aim of achieving company objectives.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide succinct, effective feedback to incoming enquiries/technical queries, and where necessary lay out expected timescales.
  • Work on a range of different estimates/quotes for our customer base, ensuring that the best solution for the customer is offered.
  • Support technical training internally and externally to ensure that all members of the Wire Belt Family have the tools necessary to succeed.
  • Ensure that all admin work is performed promptly and internal records are kept up to date.
  • Review Customer Complaints and Process Improvement Requests promptly, providing feedback on possible causes, solutions and improvements.
  • Assist the Field Sales Team with customer visits where required, offering technical support and expertise to our customers.
  • Deliver assigned projects and reports within the agreed time scale, and suggest potential projects where areas of improvement have been identified
  • Deliver first class customer service, through developing, and fostering a team spirit and promoting the Wire Belt ethos with colleagues.
  • Support customers with projects, technical issues, training and concerns, resolving them to the customer’s satisfaction in a timely manner.
  • Upon request attend exhibitions and applicable meetings, plus, any other duties consistent with the role where required.

  • Aspire to develop own skills and knowledge

Education/Qualifications/Experience

  • A STEM degree or relevant industry experience preferable
  • Experience in Technical Sales, manufacturing, food processing sector or similar would be desirable
  • Additional languages would be advantageous
